The Bible, illuminated by the Holy Spirit, is the source of our vision. (2 Cor.
3:6)
Our sole purpose for being is to bring glory to God by encouraging people:
1. To worship God in Spirit and in Truth. (John 4:24)
2. To feed the Saints with the Word, which is the Bible and the presence of Jesus.
(I Peter 5:2)
3. To reach out with compassion to those in rebellion to the will of God. (Prov.
11:30)
The Ministry of Jesus must be duplicated. He commanded His disciples to preach the
Word, heal the sick, and to cast out devils. (Mark 3:14,15)
There is no way we can represent, truly, the Body of Christ without discerning and
openly recognizing every segment or member of that Body; therefore, we must target
and teach all of the believers to be Fundamental, (2 Tim. 3:16), Evangelical, (Mk.
16:15); Pentecostal, (Acts 1:8), and Charismatic. (Acts 2:17,18)
We will promote fellowship with other believers that:
1. Believe that Jesus Christ is God, manifest in the flesh. (1 John 4:2,3)
2. Believe that whatever the Bible says is so. (Acts 17:11)
3. Have a blameless lifestyle. (Matt. 7:21)
We must promote "balance", not in the eyes of the world, nor in the minds of carnal
Christians, but in the mind of Christ and the Scriptures
We are not interested in the applause of men, but the smile of God.
This is a Signs and Wonders Website church. We do not follow nor seek after such,
but we do expect Signs and Wonders to follow us to confirm God's Word. (Mk. 16:20)
We believe in Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers, all for the
perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the
Body of Christ. (Eph. 4:11,12)
As being distinctively Pentecostal, we emphasize the following Doctrines:
1. Inspiration of the Scriptures (2 Pet. 1:20,21)
2. One True God (1 Jn. 5:8)
3. Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Jn. 5:20)
4. Fall of Man (Rom 3:23)
5. Salvation of Man (I Cor. 15:3,4)
6. Ordinances of the Church Water Baptism (Mk. 16:16) Holy Communion (I Cor. 11:26)
7. Baptism in the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8)
8. Initial Physical Evidence (Acts 2:4)
9. Sanctification (1 Thess. 5:23)
10. The Church and Its Mission (Mk 16:15)
11. Ministry (Eph. 4:11-16)
12. Healing (Jas. 5:14,15)
13. Blessed Hope (1 Thess. 4:16,17)
14. Millenial Reign (Rev. 20:1-6)
15. Final Judgment (Rev. 20:11-15)
16. New Heavens and New Earth (Rev. 21:1)
God has not called us to be traditional, nor to be denominational, neither to be
independent or isolated from the rest of the Body of Christ. But He has called us
to be a New Testament Church, to be transdenominational, ignoring the man-made fences,
and to reach out in a loving, understanding, and compassionate way to every believer
that has the Spirit of Christ. (1 Cor. 1:11-13)
We are submitted to the rest of the Body of Christ and under the direct authority
of the Lord Jesus Christ with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the protection
of the angelic hosts of God.
It is a must that we be in constant revival with the pulsating drumbeat of the Kingdom
of God, invisible now, visible later at the coming of our Lord. (Lk. 17:20,21)
Our vision is to continue, locally, in the Greater Lakeland Area, including Auburndale,
but also to take advantage of the Internet. We are expanding into an Internet Church,
under the name of the Carpenter's Home Church, meaning the home church of the Carpenter,
Jesus, and to do our very best to evangelize the Globe, reaching out to the countless
computer owners, reaching the millions of millions around the world.
Included in this vision is to reach millions of Russian speaking people, not only
in Russia, itself, but in Europe, Israel, Iraq, Iran, and in many other countries
in the middle-east. Plans include Hispanic people in Latin America as well. We plan
to take advantage of radio and television throughout our own United States of America.
We plan to reach out to every segment of our society, rich and poor, educated and
uneducated, and to every race and nation. In that process, our plans are to have
great compassion with GOOD WORKS, meaning the works of the Holy Ghost, to clothe
the naked, to feed the hungry, to visit the prisoners, to minister to the sick,
to bring up children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, to wash the saints
feet, to find lodging for the homeless, to relieve the afflicted, and to follow
every good work showing a caring heart of God for every hurting person in the world,
especially widows and orphans. We, in that scenario, have no thought, whatsoever,
of working for our salvation, but rather to work out our salvation with fear
and trembling. (Phil. 2:12; Tit. 3:8) Like St. Francis said, Preach the gospel
at all times. Use words, if necessary?
Another facet of our ministry is to zero in on young people and children. No longer
can we depend, totally, on Children's Church workers and Youth Pastors, to handle
this charge. From now on, EVERYONE has to address this problem of the tremendous
gap between the young and the old. We have to bridge that chasm between the parents
and the youngsters. Even grandparents have to come out of retirement to help. Read
for yourself the last verse of the Old Testament and take it as a challenge to see
what you can contribute. (Mal. 4:5)
As a New Testament, 21st Century, church we want to witness locally and globally,
with every modern means of communication, so that the non-churched, as well as the
churched, may witness, first-hand Great Power, (Acts 4:33a), Great Grace, (Acts
4:33b), Great Fear, (Acts 5:5,11), Great Company, (Acts 6:7), Great Wonders and
Miracles, (Acts 6:8), Great Persecutions, Acts 8:1), and Great Joy, (Acts 8:8; 15:3)
in the lives of all believers.
It's our earnest, God-given desire, to lift up Jesus! Sing about Jesus! Talk about
Jesus! Teach about Jesus! And live like Jesus! (John 12:32)
Our battle-cry is, "Souls, souls, souls!"
And we want never to forget, to God goes all the Glory! (Matt. 6:13)
